- There are many rivers in the US, such as the Mississippi River. These rivers allow people, animals, and plants to survive there by providing both food and water. The US is also surrounded by two oceans, the Pacific Ocean and the Atlantic Ocean. Both of these can be used for trading by ships with the foreign countries. The landscape in the US is also very suitable for farming, therefore, allowing people to farm various fruits and vegetables there. The US also has forests with trees which allows people to do logging and therefore do many things with the wood.
2) What physical geographic features have aided the development of Vietnam?
- There are also many rivers in Vietnam which usually flood, therefore providing the land with plenty of water to grow crops, mainly rice. Vietnam is also near the ocean which lets it trade a lot of things with the foreign countries. The soil in Vietnam is very suitable for growing rice, which is what Vietnam is known for.
3) Compare the similarities and differences.
- In both, US and Vietnam, there are rivers which allow people to do the same things, survive. The oceans in both areas also serve the same purpose which is to trade things between countries. However, because of the different landscape and climate in US and Vietnam, different crops are being grown. For example, in Vietnam, mainly rice is being grown and watery fruits. However, in US, they often grow wheat and different fruits and vegetables because the climates vary throughout the year.
