This summer was the most fun and exciting one I've had since I came to Vietnam. I went to the north of Vietnam to visit my grandma, aunts, uncles, and cousins I haven't seen for about four years. It was great to see them again, although they didn't change much, but it was the countryside, so it was hot and boring since there wasn't much for me or my brother to do. While I was there, I visited the Ha Long Bay with my cousins and uncle. The caves were pretty amazing and I also saw one of the World's Seven Wonders. I also went to Nha Trang for the first time. We went to different famous sites in Nha Trang with another family that was traveling with us. We went to a pagoda, the beach, Vinpearl, and a resort with mud baths and massages. It was was awesome and fun, but also very tiring. The other days that I've sent in the summer were at home, playing on the computer or watching TV, and at my grandma's house, eating dinner with the whole family.
I'm looking most forward to learning about the history of different countries and also debating in this year's Social Studies class. The reason why is because I find the history of other people very interesting because you get to know about what the people in the past did or what it was like back 1000 years ago. Debating is also very fun, because it causes arguments between two different parties with different opinions which is fun to do because sometimes you get to yell to express your opinion.
The thing that I'm least forward to is homework because usually, Social Studies requires you to do a lot of projects and research which I'm not very fond of if the topic doesn't interest me.
